The first meeting regarding the preparations for Chardham Yatra was held under the chairmanship of Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj. It was told that due to the master plan work, Gujarati Bhavan near the temple was demolished last year. At present BKTC does not have a base in Badrinath Dham.
Before the start of the upcoming Chardham Yatra, the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) will prepare a pre-fabricated temporary structure at Badrinath Dham, so that the arrangements for worship at the temple can be made better during the Yatra. Also, a room will be made to accommodate the VVIPs who come for darshan.
Last year, Gujarati Bhavan near the temple was demolished due to the master plan work of Badrinath Dham. This building had the office of BKTC, information centre, seating for VVIPs along with accommodation facilities for Vedpathis. At present BKTC does not have a base in Badrinath Dham.
VVIP guests come for darshan during Chardham Yatra. In such a situation, BKTC has no space to accommodate VIPs. This issue has been discussed in the first meeting chaired by Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj regarding preparations for the yatra. BKTC President Ajendra Ajay says that before the yatra, BKTC will prepare a pre-fabricated structure at its level, in which there will be arrangements for photo gallery, office, room for VIP.
